Welcome!
In 2004, more than 15,000 pets were euthanized at the City of Albuquerque Animal Care Centers. Some were terminally ill. Some were badly injured. But thousands were perfectly healthy, friendly animals
who would have made wonderful pets. There just weren't enough homes for all of them.
The Alliance for Albuquerque Animals is a group that works to
better the lives of the homeless animals at our City’s shelters by reducing the
number of animals admitted to the City Shelters, enhancing the lives of shelter
animals while under City care, and by improving the animals' chances for adoption.
