Alliance for Albuquerque Animals Offers FREE Gift Baskets with Adoption Gift Certificate during the Holidays!
Available now at the City of Albuquerque’s East- and Westside Animal Care Centers, as well as the Lucky Paws adoption center in Coronado Mall, are Adoption Gift Certificates which people can redeem for the dog or cat, puppy or kitten of their dreams. While the City’s Animal Care Centers offer these gift certificates year-round, they have been “dressed-up” for the holiday season: the Alliance for Albuquerque Animals is giving out FREE gift baskets with each Adoption Gift Certificate purchased! RAAP Event: "Meet a Pit Bull Day"
We will be in Old Town to introduce the public at large to the pit bull breed and to separate the myths from the realities. What does a real pit bull look like? What is proper pit bull temperament? Is a pit bull right for my home? Should be lots of fun, so come join us!

Every Saturday, 9:00-10:00
RAAP (Responsibly Adopting Albuquerque's Pit Bulls) puppy classes
Free for adopters of pit bull and pit bull mix puppies from the City shelters, Rio Rancho Animal Control, or the Animal Humane Association. Puppies must be under 5 months and have at least 2 DAPP (parvo/distemper) vaccinations. Classes will be held at the Loma Linda Community Center, located at 1700 Yale Blvd SE, (505) 764-1525 (between Gibson and Avenida Cesar Chavez). Call Tristan Rehner at 344-PETS for more information.
